　　Rotary Cut – Install the log in the center of the lathe, insert the slicing knife into the log at a slight angle, and then rotate the log against the slicing knife to make a rotary veneer. The peeled veneer can be wide enough to provide a whole board (single piece).
　　Plain Slicing, Flat cut – – It is also known as flat cutting, plane slicing/flat slicing. String sawing refers to the slicing knife cutting wood chips along the parallel line of the log center. The string cut wood bark cut from the opposite original wood will form a "cathedral" pattern wood grain with the deepest layer of growth rings.
　　Quarter Slicing – Radial cutting is the growth ring of the log that is vertically cut to produce a straight grain veneer.
　　Rift-Cut – Sliced wood veneer is made of various kinds of oak. The pith ray of the oak extends from the center of the log, just like the curved spokes of the wheel. The pith ray of oak is cut at a slight angle to minimize the appearance of "scale" wood grain and produce straight wood bark.
　　Lengthwise Slicing – Place the flat sawn board horizontally and cut the wood bark from the bottom of the board through the fixed slicing knife. The texture pattern of the longitudinal wood veneer is changeable.
